CONO Kaasmakers is a cooperative of dairy farmers with a proud 120-year history. Renowned for producing the finest cheese, the cooperative is deeply committed to animal welfare and sustainable business practices. To further their sustainability ambitions and maintain flexibility in their growth strategy, CONO enlisted the expertise of Orchard Finance.

A tailored financing solution

The collaboration began with the development of a financing plan aligned with CONO’s strategic objectives. A key part of this plan included investment in a power cable to make their cheesemaking operations more sustainable. Additionally, the plan ensured flexibility to support future investments and potential partnerships.

After devising the financing plan, Orchard Finance prepared a financing memorandum, which was then tested in the broader market. Through a meticulous and transparent process, several parties were given the opportunity to submit proposals. Ultimately, ING’s proposal aligned best with CONO’s strategic vision and requirements.
